Earth Hour is a project started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia. In that first ever event, more than 1,900 businesses and government departments, and 60,000 households, participated. As a result, demand for electricity fell 10.2 per cent. Since most of Australia's electricity is generated by coal-fired hydro plants, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions was the equivalent of taking 48,000 cars off the road for one hour.
All from Living on Earth.
6 minutes, about eco-friendly clothing and green fashions
13 minutes, about the world without humans (a book was written about this, and they were discussing what was said in the book)
7 minutes, about green tobacco sickness and the environmental effects of tobacco harvesting
