The University of Guelph's 14th Annual EnviroSci symposium entitled, "A Sustainable future, where do we go from here" is being held this Saturday the 12th in Rozanski Hall. The Guelph Organic Conference will be held from January 24th-27th (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun). This year's theme: "Building Sustainable Organic Business" will feature Speakers, workshops, and the Trade Show & Organic Food Expo. There is free admission to the trade show which includes over 150 booths on Saturday (7:00am - 5:30pm) Sunday (9:00am - 4:30pm). The speaking events vary in ticket prices. Eco New Years contest
Quantum Shift TV announced the launch of its "New Years Eco-reSOLUTIONS" video contest. This environmental challenge invites the public to think beyond the usual post-holiday plans or promises by answering the question "What are you doing for the planet in 2008?"
Videos can be uploaded at http://www.quantumshift.tv/contests/contest.php?id=6 now through midnight EST on January 15, 2008. Voting will remain open through midnight EST, January 22. The first, second and third place winners will be announced on January 23, 2008. There are many exciting prizes to be won, so make a promise to the planet and enter your video clip.
